---- ADMIN EDIT ----

There's two ways you can join the channel:
1) You can enter the following URL in your browser: https://discord.gg/0cqH4TlelvcjbxYL
2) If you have the Discord application installed on your computer* (highly recommended, https://discordapp.com/apps) you press the "+" sign on the left sidebar, choose "Join server" and enter the URL: https://discord.gg/0cqH4TlelvcjbxYL

A new communication method just appear out of the darkness, Discord. It looks the same as teamspeak but absolutely free. You can create as much server as you want without restriction and configure them. I think it would be a great idea to switch to it since it absolutely free.

Just tell me what you think about that i'll leave the website link down below.

Looks pretty cool on a first glance. Might be a good alternative to TS/Ventrilo/Mumble. Try it out and tell me if it's as awesome as advertised - we'll switch the official voice chat over if enough of you think that it's good.

I'm soly using Discord as my VoIP program since around 2 months ago. It's still in beta, which means that it can have serverproblems -- under the two months i've been using it i've had 2 or maybe 3 problems connecting to my server. Usually resolved within or about 20 minutes.

The thing that makes it great is that it combines IRC and Teamspeak. Making it so easy to stay in contact with different gaming groups, for an example - I don't play Das Tal with the same players as I play Starcraft with. So if they want to tell me that they're down to game they can easily hilight me and i'll get a message popping up.

Setting up a server is super easy, joining one is even easier. If you want to, (not that you cannot do it yourself) I can set up a unofficial Das Tal server while we try it out!

I've had a chance to check it out briefly and I liked it. Want to set up a channel for us and give me and a few of us admin later? We'll try it during the next playtests and replace Teamspeak if all works wel.

Prepare to be amazed.

The app can also be used on your Iphone or Androidphone. Helpful if you're stuck in traffic and you need to alert your clan that you'll be late for the siege tonight.

*Supports both MAC OSX and PC, Linux is under development.

Thanks Methy. I've stickied the post and edited the info to the top. We'll try Discord over the next tests and if it does not fail use then we'll switch over from TS.

Yeah, Discord is pretty awesome looking. I wish more people were enthusiastic about it. The premise is outstanding: we gamers have been using TS3 and Skype for many years now, but why not have a 21st-century app that's designed from the ground up by and for gamers?

I think it'll be extremely hard to get big organized clans and gaming groups to transfer over from TS3, but I hope they gain some momentum.

We've been using the teamspeak server for our Clan.

Would be up for using Discord. Anything that connects the community a bit more is good in my book.
